Altitude Salon Blonde Extensions
Premium extensions require premium care to maintain that salon-fresh shine.

The Daily Ritual

Consistency is the secret to longevity. Incorporating these simple steps into your morning and evening routine will prevent tangling and keep your cuticles smooth.

Morning Routine

Brush Gently

Hold the base and brush from ends up to prevent tension.

UV Protection

Apply a UV protectant oil before stepping out into the sun.

Style Safely

Keep heat tools away from tape or bead attachment points.

Night Routine

Detangle First

Remove all tangles accumulated during the day before bed.

💧

Hydrate Ends

Apply a lightweight serum to ends to lock in moisture.

🎀

Low Braid

Secure hair in a loose low braid to prevent friction.

Washing & Styling

Hydration is Key: Since extensions don't receive natural oils from your scalp, they can become dry easily. Always use a sulfate-free, paraben-free shampoo and a moisturizing conditioner (mid-shafts to ends only!).

Heat Protection: Heat is the enemy of hair color. Always use a heat protectant before blow-drying or using hot tools, and keep your iron below 350°F.

★ Pro Tip

"Never sleep with wet hair. Wet hair is weak hair, and sleeping on damp extensions is the fastest way to cause matting at the root."

Frequently Asked Questions

Common questions we get at the salon.

Q. How often should I wash my extensions?

We recommend washing 1-2 times per week. Washing too frequently can dry out the hair, while washing too infrequently can cause product buildup. Use dry shampoo in between washes if needed.

Q. Can I swim with my extensions?

Yes, but with caution! Chlorine and salt water can be drying and may discolor blonde extensions. We recommend wetting your hair with fresh water and applying a leave-in conditioner before swimming to create a barrier. Always braid your hair tightly to prevent tangling.

Q. Why are my extensions shedding?

Some shedding is normal, just like your natural hair. However, if you notice excessive shedding, it might be due to brushing too roughly or cutting the wefts (for hand-tied extensions). If you are concerned, contact Linda at the salon.

Q. Can I use purple shampoo?

Yes, but proceed with caution. Extensions are more porous than natural hair and can absorb pigment quickly, turning them patchy or violet. Dilute the shampoo with water or regular shampoo and watch it closely. Never apply it directly to the bonds.

Need a Maintenance Appointment?

To keep your natural hair healthy, move-ups are recommended every 6-8 weeks. Visit us in Alpharetta for a check-up.

I would like to have some undetectable hair extensions put in my hair. My hair is fine and thin on top and about shoulder length and blonde. I would like to know a ball park amount that it would cost for me to get this done. I am almost 2 hours away and would hate to drive for 2 hours to see that is was going to be way out of my budget to have this done. I did have a terrible experience of k-tip extensions several years ago and ended up having them taken out in about 2 weeks time due to the lady that put them in did not do them correctly after I sat in her chair for 9 hours (this was in Gainesville, GA). She was fired and the salon did nothing as far as asking me to have them redone, they only took what was already coming out and sent me on my way. I can’t find anyone any closer that does these kinds of extensions unless you can recommend someone closer to me. I live in Hart County, Georgia. I can’t seem to find anyone that isn’t doing them in their basement or apartment in three states and speaks English. They might do a great job but I had rather have someone working on my hair that knows what they are doing. Please email me back and let me know a cost, the cost you give me will only be an estimate, I understand the price could go up somewhat I just need something to start looking at. Thank you,
